What is a KOL?
A KOL, or Key Opinion Leader, is a trusted, influential voice whose audience acts on their recommendations — the term used for influencers in crypto, gaming, and tech.
KOL stands for Key Opinion Leader. It refers to a creator or commentator whose opinion carries weight with a specific, engaged audience. The term is common in Web3 and gaming, where a KOL’s endorsement of a token, game, or product can move real on-chain and off-chain behavior.
A strong KOL is defined less by raw follower count than by genuine influence: real engagement, an authentic (non-bot) audience, and consistency. That is exactly what the Kollab Score measures.
